New Home for "Film to Talk About" Group
Ray Eigen Ball, MRO coordinator of Buffalo Zen Dharma Community (http://www.buffalozen.org/) facilitates a movie group called "Film to Talk About." The group recently relocated to the CG Jung Center at 408 Franklin St., which is also home of the Buffalo Shambhala Meditation Group (BuffaloShambhalaMeditation.blogspot.com).
The upcoming film has a special interest to Buddhist practitioners — ”Enlightenment Guaranteed.” In many lineages, early December is the time when the Buddha’s ‘Enlightenment’ is celebrated. Therefore, the film group chose to screen the film on Friday, December 9th at 7:00 pm.
The Jung Center also acts as an art gallery and is on The Greater Allentown First Friday Gallery Tour. The current exhibit on display there may be of special interest to those with an attraction to Tibetan Buddhist iconography. But regardless of your taste in art, it’s going to make for a very interesting atmosphere to view the film and discuss how it touched us.
