Autumn Mindfulness Course and Retreat!

Four Week Mindfulness Course Starts Oct 23

Join us for the supportive and freely offered Autumn 4 Week Mindfulness Course at the North Presbyterian Church: 300 N. Forest Rd., Williamsville, NY!

The course starts on Monday, Oct 23 and will last for 4 weeks, meeting once a week every Monday for 1.5 hours (7 pm to 8:30 pm).  It will take place in the North Presbyterian Church.

The course will use a combination of guided meditations (including MP3 files for home practice), lectures, homework, and Q&A sessions to facilitate the learning process. Donations will gladly be accepted and will help us in continuing to offer authentic mindfulness trainings freely to our beloved Buffalo community! Register now by clicking the button below! Mindfulness, also called insight meditation, is the cultivation of a clear knowing, non-judgmental awareness of the mind-body. Mindfulness naturally leads to levels of calm and serenity (stress reduction) and insight (understanding, wisdom). These meditative techniques are drawn from the original teachings of the Buddha but are universal and non-sectarian. Everyone is welcome!

An important part of mindfulness training is cultivating a seamless and continuous mindful-awareness. The container where most mindfulness practitioners learn to extend this shift of consciousness to a continuous wholesome state of mindfulness is while on retreat. The optional one day retreat for those attending the Autumn 4 Week Mindfulness Course will take place on Saturday, November 11 from 9 am to 4:30 pm.
